What’s a grablog you say? It’s my contribution to annoying webcab (the vocabulary of the web). It’s also my idea of how to share pictures with you while I’m away, and make the whole blog reading experience a little more interesting.
Help me test it out:
here’s one option for display:
here’s another:
Let me know which is better for you.

They are identical (unless I’m missing something.
What software did you use to generate the comic book style?
Maybe it is just untechnically savvy me, but I don’t see a difference.?
It’s just a small difference between spawning a new window verses going to a new page that launches the javascript. I couldn’t get the javascript to work directly from my blog.
Craig, I used Comic Life, which is a really cool little program. Bound to start a rash of grablogs :D
The second may not come up in a new window. The challenge was finding a way to have the icon load up the Javascript thingy in a reasonable manner. I think the second form is fine. It just may not always work.
On my system, the first link requires two clicks, since after one the image (now alone on the page) is still thumbnail-sized. Not sure if this is the intended behaviour.
Matt: this is, indeed, why we experimented with two different ways. I’m still trying to figure out why we can’t launch the Javascript from the icon. Arguably, just using TARGET=”_blank” to force the page to load is good enough (that’s the second form), and folks can use their browser trickery to force it to open in a tab, or the same window.
