So when did this become a political blog, anyway?

Well, I’m just sitting around here, waiting for the academic go ahead (not entirely true: I’m doing revisions on my proposal), so once again I’m getting sucked in to the Ontario political buzz.

Once again the Green Party has been excluded from the leadership debates. Now, I don’t think the Green Party has a proverbial snowball’s chance of getting a seat under the current voting system, but they are both gaining in the polls and representing at least some of the concerns of a large number of Ontarians who aren’t willing to actually vote for them. I would certainly be interested to hear how the major parties respond to a number of issues that the Green party takes an unusual position on.

If you’d like to hear from the Green Party in the leadership debates, you can sign the internet petition. But I’m thinking, hey, this is a digital home-made media world. Surely we could set something up, some website with podcasting or something…. call it “The Real Debates” or something. Ha!
